My faith in God is the foundation of both my life and my business. It guides me to lead with integrity, communicate honestly, and serve people the right way—every time.
I was born in Louisville, Kentucky and raised in Scottsburg, Indiana, where I learned early on the value of hard work, honesty, and treating people the right way. Growing up in Southern Indiana helped shape who I am today — someone who believes relationships, communication, and integrity still matter.
From a young age, I was always drawn to business, sales, and helping people solve problems. I’ve always had a competitive drive and a strong belief that if you’re willing to outwork others and genuinely care about people, good things tend to follow.
After high school, I attended Indiana University where I studied Finance and Accounting. My passion for learning and experiencing different cultures eventually led me overseas to graduate school in Bangkok, Thaialnd. It was there that I met my beautiful Filipino wife, Zharon Japitana, who continues to be one of the biggest blessings in my life.
Those early life experiences — growing up in the Midwest, studying finance, traveling internationally, and building relationships with people from different backgrounds — helped shape the foundation of who I am today both personally and professionally.
My professional career began long before I entered the mortgage industry. After completing graduate studies in Bangkok, Thailand, I joined InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG), where I worked as a Cluster Revenue Manager. In that role, I was responsible for analyzing market trends, forecasting demand, optimizing pricing strategies, and driving revenue performance across multiple hotel properties. The experience sharpened my analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to make data-driven decisions—skills that continue to benefit my clients today.
I began my mortgage career over 9 years ago in Louisville before relocating to Denver, Colorado, where I became a top-producing loan officer focused on home purchases and later stepped into a sales management role for a national mortgage lender.
In 2023, my wife and I decided to move back closer to family and settled in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, where I continue helping clients across the country as a wholesale mortgage broker and Branch Manager with West Capital Lending.
Through West Capital Lending and Your Rate Broker, I work with over 180 lenders—including many of the largest wholesale lenders in the country—which allows me to shop competitive mortgage options tailored to each client’s financial goals.
One thing that sets me apart is that clients work directly with me from start to finish. They’re not passed around between departments or left wondering who to call. I believe communication matters, which is why I stay available 7 days a week and make it a priority to keep the process smooth, transparent, and stress-free.

Outside of work, family and relationships are what matter most to me. My wife and I currently live in Murfreesboro and enjoy being close to family, friends, church family, and the Middle Tennessee community.
We are proud French Bulldog parents and actively help organize local Frenchie meetups around the Nashville area. Bringing together fellow dog lovers and building community through our shared love of French Bulldogs has become one of our favorite hobbies.
I’m also a huge sports fan. Saturdays are usually spent cheering on the Indiana Hoosiers, while Sundays are dedicated to the Denver Broncos.
Travel is another big passion of mine, and I’ve visited 37 states so far. I enjoy exploring new places, discovering local restaurants, and experiencing authentic Americana across the country.
When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me outdoors, around the grill, spending time with friends and family, or planning our next Frenchie meetup event.
At the end of the day, I believe people deserve honesty, communication, and someone they can trust when making major financial decisions. That’s the same approach I bring to both my personal life and my business every day.
